On January 29th, Hillfoot & Paws proudly donated 8 dog beds to Give a Dog a Bone, an award-winning Scottish charity dedicated to bringing animals and the over-60s together in the fight against loneliness.
Give a Dog a Bone addresses the challenges of loneliness in older adults and animal homelessness by providing financial support to over-60s struggling with the costs of pet care and creating welcoming community spaces in Shawlands, Troon, and Alloa. These spaces offer a warm cuppa and the friendly company of companionship dogs, staff, and volunteers, fostering a sense of community and connection.
Many individuals involved with the charity live alone, finding companionship and affection in their pets. This deep bond is what inspired us at Hillfoot & Paws. Understanding the significance of these relationships, we knew we had to contribute. Our donation of comfortable, high-quality beds ensures that the charity's companion dogs have a cozy and inviting place to rest.
