All Hillfoot & Paws collars and harnesses have an individual size guide, so please check product descriptions carefully and measure your pet before buying.
The harness needs to be big enough for your pet to walk, lay down and stand up comfortably; and a collar needs to be able to fit without being too tight around the neck. However, you don't want to choose a collar that's too loose that it slides off.
We hope that the below guide will help you understand how best to measure your pet to ensure you choose the right size product.

Harness
Chest: Measure around the body of the dog with a flexible cloth tape measure. You should be starting at the bottom of the rib cage and going up and over the back and then back down to where you started.

Neck: Wrap the tape around the thickest part of your dog’s neck and take that measurement. The part right on top of their shoulders, not where your would normally wear the collar, which is narrower.

Collar
Measure your dog's neck using a fabric measuring tape or string with a ruler. This measurement needs to be the actual measurement of the neck.

Find a collar that you like and check the sizing information in the description. We have provided information on where the first and last holes are for every design. When choosing the size of the collar, please ensure that you need to add a little bit to the measurement of your pet, to ensure there will be enough breathing room.
